Title: Griso runs on one when wet

It sorts itself out as it warms up but its annoying, and is only going to get worse.

I know the areas to look - spark plug wells, HT leads etc. But I thought I saw a thread in here about a specific problem of pooling in the plug wells, and a solution. Can't find it.

Is there anything specific I should look for/do?

Still have stock on m 2012 so will look to install the NGK SB05Es caps sooner than later.

I don't know specifically about the Griso.  But I had a devil of a time with my V7 Stone in a heavy rain.  The spark plug wires run downwards into the spark plug cap, so the wire basically directs water into the cap.

Even if you dry out the cap and WD-40 it, it is still messed up from having shorted out due to the water.

Fix was to replace the cap.   Put silicon sealant goop on spark plug wire and then screw cap back on.  Then use the NGK rubber boot on top of the spark plug cap for further insurance.

Ngk SBO5E caps, also get a set of SDO5F and take the base seals off and put them on the SBO5E"s  Don't thank me ,thank Leafman!  I switched mine to the O5E caps but have not yet gotten the right seals off the O5F's.  Had no problems until I gave her a bath and sprayed a little too much water up the plug gallery above the exhaust header. Started up on one bank, pulled the plugs and watched the water drain out of the left side cap.
Worth having the right seals if you ride in the rain. Thanks for reminding me to order them.

OK. I'm in the right area then.

I already have the NGKs. But I haven't got the seals.

Can someone also please remind me of the bet way to get the plug caps off? Is it a screwdriver into the gallery above the exhaust? I thought it was in through the drain hole, but you'd be lucky to get a gnat's todger in there.

Yup, through the cooling gallery above the exhaust.

Morning,
My Stelvio had similar issues.
My dash was inverting and steaming so I had a 2and hand one from Guzzibits. Had it cloned by Scorpion in Norfolk.
Research also said the speed sensor ( I only have one on rear ) would cause a problem.
None of these changed  the situation but worth checking.
Baldrick said changes leads. I had done the plug cap swap previously. While I was at it I went from LHS taking apart all accessible connectors. Cleaning and sealing them up.
When I got to RH coil the was a hole were the lead fits in cause by spark erosion. Changed leads , filled it full of goop and put new rubbers on over the ht lead.
After 18 months I had the cure so I did.
