Suddenly I'm transported back to my first ride on my first very own road motorcycle, a 1971 CS3 Yamaha, VIN number CS3-105649, never have forgot it ...

Very capable bike, 55 and downchange for any hill was easy and safe, 65 was a strain.   Electric start even then ...

My brother Karl bought one just like that for his (then) girlfriend Kim to learn to ride on. She lost interest and it was sold off.

Karl and Kim were definitely not destined for happiness with one another.  :wink: Kim later married an old boyfriend, had 2 daughters and seems quite happy last I spoke with her.

I had a '74 RD200 Electric. It was my ride when I first went to college. The '74 had drum brakes that were strong, but somewhat self-energizing. Also, if you ran it below 4K rpms for any amount of time, the plugs would foul. However, once those shortfalls were dealt with the bike was very competent. It was capable of 500 mile weekends (in 1974 55-60 mph was as fast as you could cruise legally) and second gear wheelies were a piece of cake. Cool bike...

 Nice. I really would like to get a two stroke road bike. My first bike was a 75 GT380 which I put 10K on the first year I had it.
