It's time to donate money to keep this board going. Do the right thing and donate if you haven't done so this year.
Thanks to all that donate their time and hard work.

OK, done.

Yes, it *is* time to donate. The knowledge I've gained from WG is priceless. A small donation is cheap.. (Guzzi content)

My avatar doesn't show a donation either but I have made one in 2017. Maybe it wasn't enough? This forum is certainly worth it!!!!

Luap just hasn't caught up yet , after the reset the donations will be noted . Make sure to include your screen name .

Done,,, tks for the gentle reminder Ambogal.
My small Canuckistan donation doesn't come close to expressing my appreciation for this cyber campfire,, what an entertaining, enlightening, diverse cast of characters.
Luap & the others that keep this place running on all cylinders, much respect and gratitude.

My check will go out in tomorrow's mail. Thank you for all your hard work and effort.

I'd like to see a Guzzi built by the members and auctioned or sold. I'd donate to the project and the money could go to the coffers.

Sounds like a ton of work. Wouldn't it be easier just to, like, give some money?
When people are doing a "Walk For ..." fundraiser and want me to give $4 a mile or something for however far they walk tonight, I just give them $60 and ask them to have a chair and relax ....

Ok, I'll be the dummy here. HOW DO I MAKE A DONATION?

Not at this location, small black print says time to donate.
But of course it doesn't work
For some reason there is no BC in this part of Canada and it crashes if I try to push it
I have 2 Macs here, neither one will work.

Which screen are you on?, there's no button on here
I have seen it on occasion but it's not here at the moment

Yeah Lannis, that's indisputably true, but would be a tangible reminder of the reason that we're here. But anyway, just a thought. Would be a special sort of bike to own though. Why do some guys spend disproportionate amounts if money and time to restore an old Mk 2 when less effort and money would have seen them on a Norge which is "better" in every way but in some ways, not as good. It's a way to "leave your mark" as it were, but at the end of the day, I know what you mean in reality.

Maybe computers are just different in the different hemispheres?
When I click on the link you provided, first thing I see is the "DONATE" button and if you click on IT, it will suck the money right out of your PayPal or VISA without you having to do much at all. Well, not quite, but it's easy and convenient.
So that's me with no more help to give, over to Down Underians to hear their advice. I know you're not there any more, but some of it may have rubbed off ....

Just for fun, it MIGHT be a fun thing to do just for the heck of it. If people counted their time as anything, it wouldn't be a paying financial effort, but it WOULD be a special sort of bike to own.
Whoever's shop it was in, though, it'd be a commitment .... !

So Huzo is hosting this build in his garage, and we're all able to contribute then via a Paypal account?
What are you planning to build then, and does our donation include airfare to come down and see it in person! :)

That's what I understand.
We'll need a donor bike, and get it to him somehow. Then set up a Paypal account.
We'll probably have to pay our own way down under to see it, though.
When are we getting started?

As Luap recently posted, the top of each page may be cut off if you're in the brief-mode display. To the right of the WildGuzzi.com logo on the top right, there is a small, white arrow. Click that and more stuff will be visible, including the donation buttons.
-
Got it, hit the donate button, you'll have the option of credit card or PayPal. I chose my wife's PayPal account. Checks in the mail, keep the site funded guys:)
-
I chose my wife's PayPal account. ....
Hey, now THERE'S an idea. Wonder how long I could get away with it? If Luap would change his PayPal name to "Soft Silhouettes" or "Virginia Candle Company", I could fund WG for YEARS ....

Keep it coming folks. I'm proud to be a member of this crowd even tho I take away more than I contribute.

Well, here's the thing... I don't think for one second that I have the ability to bolt a Guzzi together to the exacting standards that would be in demand here. However, if the "bike" needed three spoke Norge or Griso type wheels, I'll donate and ship my ex Norge items to whatever location. If it was a Norge, I've got a perfect standard muffler as well for nix and some other paraphernalia. Also if you look back a few months, I suggested that we all pull our fingers out of our collective parts and donate, and was largely criticised for putting people "under pressure". My my, how things have changed !!!

Now that made me laugh. Thanks :thumb:

Posting this link because some have asked for it and are unable to see it. Thanks everyone. We're almost on track to where we were same time frame last year. Without you all, this would wither up and die...

Do you reckon the idea has merit ? When someone asks for $4 a mile instead of a handout, they're indicating that they are prepared to do something within their scope to warrant the injection of funds by you. That's where the idea of a group funded project bike is different to pressing the "donate" button and just walking off. That's a bit different to begging for a handout. Now Luap doesn't canvass for donations, the reliance is upon those who presumably have the maturity to realise that it's just a good idea. I don't know how many members we have, although I could check, but I'm guessing that ten bucks each would go damn close to covering the bill. Simply reduce the next ride by an amount and you've saved the ten bucks that you would have blown. There's everyone's donation sorted. We could start on the project when you knock on my door, how's that for a proposal ? And anyway, any bike built in Australia, would not be readily registerable in the States. It was and still is, just a conceptual idea. Huzo. BTW, sorry I buggered up and posted my reply incorrectly...
