I won't try to pretend I know you or anything about your love for the Lady who has moved on up the road ahead... But these scoundrels care, and understand that there are more important things in this world than Guzzies, and their support will be a rock to tie up to when the storm seems too rough to face. All the best for your future and whatever it holds. Huzo.

When you are ready, it would be nice for your friends in this community who have not shared in your life as some clearly have, to read some of how your time together came to be. Those who have never lost, have never loved.

First, let me say "Thank you " to everyone on the forum for their support. It means more that you may realize!

Next it is surreal. It is hard to accept that she is REALLY gone and we won't be together anymore. Maybe someone  can clue me in on what I'm going to be experiencing next. Anger, fear, frustration.

I go to the mortuary tomorrow to make arraignments. My colleagues already created a turquoise casket for Sue.

I think I'm really going to be a space cadet for the foreseeable future.

Here I am, on a work trip at a bar in a hotel lobby. I'm writing an email to my sister in-law, asking if there is anything of Vicky's that she might want me to bring to Ohio at the end of the month.
Now, I read this.

Not sure why life has to hurt so much.

I've seen this happen before. Try do do as many "normal" things as you can, and *take care of yourself* both physically and mentally.  Uh.. the worst is yet to come.. sorry, but it needs to be said. Be prepared for that as much as you can. After all this is over is when it hits you for real. It's *not* going to be an easy road, just take it one turn at a time.
As I've mentioned in other posts, it *will* take time.
Best of luck..
