Title: Double engine Triumph on the dyno
Post by: Rough Edge racing on May 09, 2017, 12:11:43 PM
Scheduled a few hours on the dynamometer yesterday  for durability testing and initial tuning...Made a few easy pulls to about 5500 rpm to warm the oil...then got serious with about a dozen full throttle runs in high gear from 2500 to 7500 rpm.... Nothing broke and it sounded very sharp....My hillbilly engineered primary chain drive worked flawlessly...
I still need to work on the tuning ,especially the exhaust....95 HP SAE corrected rear wheel HP is a nice number from a pair of vintage 650 Triumphs at 6000 rpm ...but the power barely went up at 7500 rpm. My single engine racer makes 55 rwhp...I revised the exhaust and will schedule more dyno time...

Crappy video, my Iphone was affected by the exhaust thunder....My rider is in the foreground

Power readout....Air/fuel readings are inaccurate due to reversion....

Three stooges, me in the middle, my friend and rider  in the sunglasses and his friend on the left...

Your rider sent me a message , in it he referred to you as "his" mechanic . Weird relationship the two of you have ...

Huh? He sent you a message?  The bikes are his by mutual agreement but I call them my bikes because  I build and work on them without charging  labor cost to him... so I am his mechanic...He rides the bikes I built with mostly his money but I refer to him as my rider...
