Need help from Guzzi diagnostic expert! My 1995 Cali 1100i won't start and I am so lucky it happened at home after a beautiful ride with many stops.
Symptoms: Ignition on, push starter button- nothing happens. Never happened before.
Clues: 1) Hot day ride, around 150 miles; 2) Neutral light stopped working; 3) With ignition "on" no headlight, horn, but turn indicators and tail lights working; 4) No blown fuses; 5) Meter showing almost new battery fully charged; 6) Kill switch seems to work, as fuel pump starts in "run" position; 7) !2.8 volts reading at starter.
Electrics spook me, so, if it doesn't leak, make noise, or smoke I don't have such a great success rate.
Forever indebted,

If your sidestand is not unplugged, now is the time to do it. Check connections on the neutral switch, it's right behind the starter on the trans.

3) With ignition "on" no headlight, horn, but turn indicators and tail lights working;
Big hint.
Relay failure.
Swap around a few of the relays.
Buy a full set of proper relays from Pyro Dan.

My 96 had a starter issue but not the light issue. I was advised, because of the age, that electronic connections were probably getting corroded. I was told to replace the relays. Me being a cheapskate removed and cleaned all the relays and the connections they came out of. On the '96 one of last three relays on the left side was for the starter. Can't remember exactly witch one.

It's broke. Go ahead and give up, it is permitted. Use the time usefully, like drinking.
The solution may come as an epiphany.
