A friend of mine makes things like that for his grandkids along with friends kids. He uses a 110cc Lifan with 3 forward and 1 reverse to power them. Makes a fantastic job.

Wow - lot of work in those toys Muzz - I made a rocking fox for my grandson and thought that was enough effort.

Everything works on it too Kev. Electric key start, lights, horn, indicators. It is amazing what he finds in junk shops that just do the job. The spinners are stainless steel egg cups for example. The detail is staggering. Vacuum forms his own lenses and reflectors (which do indeed reflect). Wheels are off cheap sack barrows.
His hobby is a Model T bucket. Someone stole his Model T some years back and he built a Model T bucket from his spares. Parts are original but he has altered things a bit. Got a balanced steel crank and alloy pistons from USA for example and it sports a couple of SU carbs.. Chassis not quite original (The one he had did have some damage) but it looks really good and runs sweet.
