Title: Cheap Tear Down Table

This nice mid size tear down table was on sale this weekend at Princess Auto - Canadian version of the beloved Harbor Freight. Cost was $270 CDN ($195 USD), all steel, locking drawer, plastic catch pan that slides out to dump, sloped to drain top with catch lip a shelf and heavy duty casters, rated at 550 lbs.

I could not buy the material to make one of these for that cost!

If they are selling in Canada they are probably available at Harbor Freight as well.

I probably would have paid twice the price because it matches my tool rack! :wink:

That Princess Auto table is so much nicer than the HF cart they are not even comparable.  It is a purpose-built tear-down table and the HF unit is just a tool cart.

Wish I had a Princess Auto near me.

$120 for shipping alone and it's yours!

One BIG difference between Princess Auto and Harbor Freight - until a couple years ago, Princess Auto had its own manufacturing division. They produced stuff for the auto companies and as a subcontractor for the bigger auto parts suppliers like Magna. I rather suspect this led them to be a bit more demanding even for their Chinese suppliers than some other companies (cough, HF, cough) may have been.

I actually went to school with a member of the family (if I recall properly) back in the 70s. I can't remember if it was in high school or university, but I was living in Winnipeg then and they were well known (OK, it's not a big city!).
