Nice, sorted, running, vintage 1970 Honda Trail 90's (with clear titles), go for under $1,000-$2,500....all day long...and TOPS! I just checked on both eBay and our local craigslist...See for yourself.

@ $4,000 EACH, this guy needs to put the crack pipe down and inhale some fresh air!

Could be a case of "But Honey, I put them up for sale.  Nobody wants them, so I might as well keep them."

I was given one of those back in the day. It was under a stairway and the older home owner could not remove  it so she asked me to take it away if I could dig it out . After a couple years I passed it on to a friend who needed a  bike  for urban commuting in San Francisco.

Perhaps...and here is another red flag.

When I asked him if they both had clear AZ titles...the response was..."Yeah, I think so..." (??????)

Either they do or they don't - simple as that...

upload photos to the internet (http://imgbb.com/)

I've never heard of anyone asking anywhere close to that kind of money.  The Photo is my 1981 C70 and me standing next to it.
There is a Yahoo Users Group Devoted to the 1980-1983 USA-Type Honda C70 "Passport" - a member of the Honda "Cub" family that are the most popular motorcycles in the world. More than 60 million sold between 1958 and the present. This group has 8300 members worldwide and lots of message traffic, so if you're into these bikes this is the group to join.

I was referring to the owner's statement on the titles.

I don't know about that particular unit but these have become VERY collectible within a couple-three fringe markets. One in particular is the vintage camper/travel trailer scene.

To have one of these lashed to the front bumper of the truck or back bumper of the camper is YUUUGE points in the campground. Further, to have ALL of the marvelous accessories which Honda offered on them can double the price of a unit with all other things being equal on the bike itself.

Agreed...they ARE going up in value...but $4,000 each is silly...and ridiculous, (IMHO)

Here is a later model 110 Trail I saw recently at the local convenience store...with the famous laundry basket accessory!!

I grew up with one for the mid 60's.  If you ever saw one I don't need to tell you how the gearing was changed!

The original Trail 90.

Same for me...and this 1967 Honda S-90 was my 2nd ever motorcycle at age 15.  Never owned a Trail 90...but the S-90 was one way cool little ride also! :1:  :thumb:

I could see him getting $3k for them. They are fetching some good money these days. Great little bikes.

I have a 72 that was my Grandfathers and a 64 which is like the first bike I learned to ride on.

Perhaps...but that is top...TOP dollar!!  Good luck to him...I drove by again today...and they are still there.

On eBay / craigslist now, there are nice, running examples of Trail 90's from about $1200-$2500...

If money is no object...then so be it...but I believe the majority of us are somewhat...Guzzi-like... (frugal?)

Another example...one can buy a nice, running example of a vintage Eldo or Ambo all day long for about $6K-$8K (approx.), yes?

Or...if money is no object...you can have Moe Moore and the boys at Cycle Garden do one for you for $20K-$25K - - and don't get me wrong - their work is fabulous...but YA GOTTA PAY! BIG BUCKS!!  :thumb: :1:

If money was no object...I'd be riding a MOTUS MST.....or an Egli Vincent....or a new Norton 961...or ?????

I guess I need to keep buying LOTTERY tickets!!
