Title: Irish Northwest 200
Post by: jlburgess on July 03, 2017, 05:06:16 PM
If you though IOM is insane you have to check out CBS Sports Network.  They are airing a series called Real Road Racing.  Imagine the same type of roads full of curbs and walls, but the riders are waved off in groups of 15 or so.  One guy blew a turn and wound up on the sidewalk still racing.  It's making my palms sweat just watching it!

Yeah , The NW 200 is real racing . The Cookstown 100 is freaky , and the pig trail running thru the woods known as Oliver's Mount is even freakier

It's unbelievable that they are riding 200 hp bikes flat out on public roads drafting in groups of 5 or so with about 6 inches between them.  It's nucking futs!

The documentary "Road" is a fantastic story of the Dunlop family and Irish road racing.  Amazing footage and detailed insight into racers' mindset, families, lifestyle, etc.
