As some of you may remember, I bought an 07 Griso out of Florida that wouldn't idle upon getting it off the truck. Few on here were pushing me to do a reflash and update myself..I just didnt feel comfortable with that. I also didn't feel comfortable with using the one dealership in Michigan, Fox Powersports which has all 4 japanese lines, ducati, triumph, aprilia, etc all under one roof. Going there reminds of going to the yearly motorcycle show at the expo. Had a feeling maybe a 10 year old Guzzi wasn't their specialty.
I was absolutely wrong. I dropped it off last Saturday. They said they were 4 days out and they would call me Thursday. The service manager did. They reflashed it, balanced throttle bodies, gave me a lengthy explanation to all work done and most importantly only charged $106. They really seemed to like having a Guzzi in the shop and followed through on their word the entire time.
I know there is a lot of negativity regarding mega dealers, etc on here. With Michigan having lost some good dealers the last few years I just wanted to pass along word the newer dealer in town did a pretty darn good job

Bout time, enjoy the Griso. Surprising, 10yrs later still not the updated map. No wonder it run funky.

Not bad. What's their hourly rate?

If I remember right Piaggio stuff was a little higher than the rest, basically with tax/etc all this came out to one hours labor, so 106.

Good to hear you have a dealer you trust to do the right thing at a fair price. We need more of them! :thumb:

Yeah. It looks like for $106 an hour, you get the convenience of getting whatever you've got fixed at the same place. Do they do house calls?

I dont think so, but they do have a starbucks inside...Seriously. :thumb:

They cover the shop's overhead with the Starbuck's sales.
