I am continuing to slowly plod my way through my CX100, trying to get it back on the road,,, hopefully this summer, lol,,,
I have sadly come to the realization that I need 2 new exhaust gaskets, between the engine and the header pipe, shown as unit # 38 in the a/m diagram, they are MG part # 90 71 83 70.
I've been told by my local Canadian dealer, that they can only order them from Italy, literally month$,,,
I'm really hoping that I don't have to go through the ha$$le and delay of placing such a small order from the regular US suppliers,,, my last order this summer didn't go as smoothly as I would have liked,,, time is a precious commodity in my short riding season.
I've searched through the forum(s) and I read people making references, that there are stock Kawasaki/Suzuki exhaust gaskets that are equivalent, but I haven't found any matching part #'s yet,,, in these modern times,,, I need specific part numbers or bike models & years to give the bike dealers, or I am out of luck.
Hopefully someone has come up with a generic exhaust gasket that is a match from another motorcycle brand,,, or a NAPA etc, equivalent, that they can give to me, and get my ass out of a bind.
ps, Re my earlier request for help,,, DesmoDuke was right on the money re the 36mm ID x 4mm cross section Viton o ring,,, I was able to pick them up locally from Freco Hydraulic Supply (excellent btw),,, the o rings were a perfect match and fit like a glove in my Lafranconi balance pipes,, hopefully someone here, will be able to work similar magic for these exhaust gaskets.
Tks very much in advance

Hi Guy, not exactly how you wanted to spend your money, but a lot quicker and you'll have other spares. Food for thought.

If I had a set here I would just put them in a letter envelope and mail them. I don't see the problem, it's the same gskt as forever on the older twins.
I just used my last set of them this spring.

Kelly: I can do exactly this. Have them in stock and can send you a pair a.s.ap. if you'd like.

The same sort of gasket is used on many cars, the local parts place probably has a selection of sizes. Lordco here on the wet coast.
Sent from my shoe phone!

I recently bought some and found many ebay sellers that stock them at least here in the UK.
Not expensive either and IIRC the same gasket as used on Ducati 900SS & Monster.

I'm liking everybody's suggestions,,, I already have a complete engine gasket kit, except for,,, you guessed it,,, exhaust gaskets, lol.
DD I'll definitely file that info away for future reference when I have more time to chase them down.
