Title: NGC - Non-Black Riding Jackets for Long Arms Hard to Find
Post by: Bonaventure on August 13, 2017, 08:53:24 AM
I'm hard to fit.  I need at least a 46 (US) chest, but wear either 34 or 36 waist in pants, and have long arms needing a 37-38" sleeve to look halfway normal in a dress shirt.  I have scoured the internet trying to find a brand of textile jacket that offers tall sizes in colors other than black, gray, or silver or combinations thereof.  Anyone know of any brand that I've missed that the mainline riding gear retailers aren't offering?  Have looked at Aerostich, and that may be a possibility.  Was wearing a Firstgear mesh tex XLT in silver when I crashed and it protected okay but not really wanting silver again.

Aerostich can make custom length arms or anything else you want altered, not cheap but the BEST.

I am 6'5" with a 36" inseam and a 35" sleeve length.  My wing span is the same as my height 77" which is considered average. Our wing span is normally = to our height.  How tall are you? You see some basketball players that are crazy long in the arms  They might be 6'10" with a 7'3"+ wing span.
I was lucky when I went looking for leathers as my Heine Gericke Paris Dakar extra long  44" chest fits me perfectly. And the pants are plenty long.

Google Claymore Jackets. They're a Yorkshire company making Belstaff type gear in various colours to order. And they're less expensive than Belstaff or Barbour.

I have similar arms to the OP, and have gotten good fit & service from Tourmaster Transition jackets.  Their XL Tall works well for me, the first one was only available in black, now the back has faded to brown but I sometimes still wear it.  I got a new one in Hi-Viz yellow and it fits just as well.
