i was reading a post about a ECU being discontinued. You can try Ebay if your lucky. But here is an alternative. I found this cross reference for ECU's. I matched a ducati ecu type to my griso and had Bettle map it for me. It worked fine with no loss of any function. just make sure it is the same style i.e. IAW 5AM, etc. and will work. they can be had for as little as $69 on eBay.
Here is the link http://docplayer.net/20781196-Motorcycle-brand-model-ecu-ecm-master-list.html (http://docplayer.net/20781196-Motorcycle-brand-model-ecu-ecm-master-list.html).

looks like vdst list who after years still don't know that a bellagio is a 5am bike.
Further, life isn't that simple. An ecu can be 5am or 15m, but the hardware id is leading if it will work. there are several 15m versions, some can be exchanged others work partly.
The early 15m (with A) has a different air pressure sensor circuit, and if you use an old one, flash the new map on it, the bike will run but doesn't have an air pressure value.
The 5am has same hardware ID on all Guzzi(hw610), but ducati has older different versions too.
There was someone busy in the ecu tuning business claiming that the one and two lambda Guzzi ecu's couldn't be exchanged, he is wrong.
All 15rc on guzzi can be exchanged with each other, so an old breva 750 ecu matches 15rc the v7 range.
Also the P8 is not always the same, they exist in cars too, but won't run you bike.
The hardware ID is printed on the label, so make shure to get same hw id. Not to confuse with the map version that is printed too on it.
But ecu's don't break that often, most times other things are faulty.

thanks for the update. guess i was lucky or forgot that part. Yes a ducati ECU for a USA 848 has the correct hw number.

the 848 is new enough. Also 5am used from ducati that have a fucked up immobilizer, can be used because Guzzi has it's immobilizer in the dash, were part of the ducati's arrange it in ecu eeprom memory.
