I think the CB might work for me with the Ikon shocks ( and the Traxxion Dynamics fork kit.) I installed the rear shocks this morning, and took the CB for a ride. Wonderful, the difference between the OEM and aftermarket shocks. I am hoping that the fork kit makes the retro Honda ride like I'd hoped the stock bike would ride. If the rear shocks are any indication, maybe the fork kit will do the same for the front of the bike.

Knowing nothing specific about this bike (other than I love the looks), I'd guess that suspension is where Honda saves money. I'm guessing you'll like the front suspension modification as well as you do the rear.
I remember Hondas of the 70s, where the shocks were basically on the bikes for looks! Not much damping to speak of.

I'm of the opinion that almost every motorcycle OEM saves money on the "as delivered" ride components.
A shock and fork change make a huge difference.
