Someone was asleep at the wheel.  Keep looking for opportunities.   :thumb:

Key thing here was this statement:

"Scott Emblidge, the attorney for the Presidio Homeowners Association, said the group had failed to pay up because its tax bill was being mailed to the Kearny Street address used by an accountant who hadn’t worked for the homeowners since the 1980s."

When the city got ready to put the property up for auction - for that matter, when taxes hadn't been paid for some years - wouldn't you expect something like a registered letter of the tax liability to be sent both to the accountant AND to the homeowners' association address as shown on their annual filing? I know when I was president of an HOA some years ago, we got notices from the city and state at our accountant's address, our association's address, and sometimes even our lawyer's address. No, we weren't behind on taxes, we were taking the hand-off of responsibility from the developer!

I find it ironic considering the history of "Alien Land Laws" and California's history.

I think it is hilarious. Too good To live on public roads like the rest of us commoners. Good for them. I hope they put a tool booth at the entrance.

Not to worry, their drivers do. Sometimes you gotta wonder how they got that rich.

No, no, you can't do that to them.  For they are VIPs !  There must be a way for the VIPs to get around the law that allows this.  After all, that's how they have had things their way most their lives.

Yes, I made a typo. Buy here in the northeast a 'tool' is an incompetent idiot.
I still can't write off the pad's auto correct.
Either way , make them pay!!!!!!

:1: The home owners are "tools".   Sometimes they need their cages rattled to remind them that they're no different than everyone else.

This reminds me of 1 of the reasons I left Kalifornia 9 years ago.  In  Kalifornia no matter if you ever take  your RV out of storage and drive it on a public road for any time, no matter if that is 0 or X number of miles, you will be charged for using it on public roads every year.   And of course that charge is in direct correlation to the value of your RV.  So I  move my Toyhauler trailer to Arizona and ASSUME it's that way here too and pay for using it on state roads every year even tho I don't   for 8 years.  Then I find out here if I don't use it on state roads for a year I don't have to pay for that privilege.   DOH, thanks Arizona for using common sense.
