My vote is for the V9 engine, or the V7III engine, with a CARC type drive.

A new Stelvio will have to be a parts bin bike. They just cannot justify making a frame and/or suspension for an ADV bike after only selling 7K bikes of that type over an 8 year run. Both the front and rear suspension would require serious attention in order to get a more reasonable amount of travel. With all that said, I have been crying for a small Stelvio for years. Bring it on!

This news is one of the things that made me go for the Norge I'm awaiting delivery on. I love the motor, and figure that the last year of a run is a good one to have. Sure, they could replace it with something "better", but then it's a whole new thing to work the kinks out of. I had my heart set on a stelvio for the longest time, but living in the middle of TX means about 8hrs to get anywhere remotely interesting, and the Norge can chew through miles better than the Stelvio (for me anyways). There's places in Big Bend that the Stelvio wouldn't be able to get to either, so the capabilities don't mean everything.
