In case anyone has been wondering when they can get their hands on a Stucchi seat, I emailed them for an update and they said they should be available by the end of October.
I can't wait to get the Le Mans 2 seater!
-
Maybe I got a bad one, but I had it on my bike for about a week and finally gave up because it was as hard as a rock.

Do you still have it? If it's the 2 seater I'd be interested in buying.

This was ten plus years ago and I sold it soon after I removed it from the bike. Believe it or not, I still have the original seat on my CX/II and for short rides I don't have a problem with the seat.

I had a Stucchi seat on my LM3.
Cut into my thighs. I removed the cover and modified the foam. Was still uncomfortable.
Went back to the original seat with a sheepskin cover. Comfortable enough for the riding I do.

Bummer to hear they're so uncomfortable because I think they're the best looking aftermarket Guzzi seats. I may still try one once they're available again, hoping they use better foam this time around.

A Corbin and a Sargent's seat came with my '85 Le Mans when I bought it. They were terrible. Sold both and found an original stock seat for $50. Hard yes, but at least there's room to move around.

I have NO experience with Stucci seats so they may be terrific. My main problem with the Corbin and Sargents was that they were both cut too low and I felt like my knees were jammed up towards my chest. The other issue was that both were cut so that they had more of a saddle formed in them. This severely limited any fore and aft movement and after a short time I started feeling very restricted and locked in to one riding position.
The stock Le Mans seat is harder but I have more movement and I feel like I'm not all scrunched up when riding it.

It's now March 2018 and still no seats available on their site.. something tells me they won't be reproducing them. They also stopped responding to my annoying emails  Does anyone know of other sites that might have them in stock (MG and Harpers don't) or know someone willing to sell a used one? There's one on eBay right now (https://www.ebay.com/itm/Seat-for-Moto-Guzzi-LeMans-1-2-850t-T3/302631120461?hash=item4676386e4d:g:D3oAAOSwKXdaUrVD&vxp=mtr) but it was re-covered and looks nothing like the original unfortunately.

Its funny how different folks react to different seats. I guess its an individual thing, as I have a Corbin on my 85 LeMans IV, and I can ride all day on that seat in comfort, but it did take a couple of months/miles to break in!

Quoting my question because this is what I was hoping to have answered. Thanks!

I have used both CORBIN and SARGENT seats, both good.
Here is a CORBIN on my old '93 SP1000-III. Very comfy... :thumb:  :1:

Not completely ot but
Searching for seal for lemans 1, same base as lm2, i used a current v7 optional gel seat, doddle to mount to glass base /guard. Two threaded holes even line up, drilled the other two.
Personally seat comfort not an issue, for 30years have run leather & sueded similar to corbin gunfighter, I weight my feet, legs
But mrs hated it, with vengence, had to fit ugly airhawk, that bothered me
V7 gel and she is happy with one proviso
Black seats get hot, maybe gel even more so, burnt bums not nice
So I have just covered it qith a kangaroo skin, looks the part, only waxed not dyed
Testing on big trip soon but is last few days of summer, already proven I think, yesterday was 32c was all day in sun, still not scorching.
Pix to come
I also have std v7 seat, option for racer, exactly same to mount, can get more at good price and roocover

Very interesting. Could you post a photo of the V7 seat on your Le Mans? Would love to see how it looks, thanks!

Nice! It works pretty well with the tank. The only criticism I have is that it doesn't cover up the side of the seat tray. But still looks pretty good overall!

You could cut back the glass if you cared (or glass in the missing front ) but seat base mudguard one of few oe bits on my bike so kind of like it showing
One of the very few style exercises that actually outfunction any other way, superlight, ease of lifting, wheel removal, etc etc. Did have to make new mounts to clear big tyre tho
Tank is nearly identical on v7; the reason I thought it had to work, inexpensive to try (guzzi content)

Just got a Sargent for the LMIII, it's majorly comfy, the closed cell foam works well.
The CX has a Corbin gunfighter I bought used, it works just fine, a little on the firm side but I can put up with it. I don't do bun burner 1000's on these machines <shrug>
