If this is true I wish Ben well.  The last year he raced in Moto GP his Yamaha bikes let him down (broke) repeatedly.   Can't wait to see him dice with Toni Elias.

Come backs are usually a big mistake. One get off and he will go back into retirement.  At 33 it`s basically over

True, but then there's Valentino Rossi and Josh Hayes.   Ben's career was cut short by injuries.  He still has the desire.  We will see if it comes to fruition or not.

interesting.

Such a meteoric rise and then an unsatisfying ending at what should've been the height of his career.  Perhaps he's over his health issues and can compete again?  I hope he has a better run than Freddie Spencer's comeback.  Ben's isn't too old but can he regain his form again?

I wouldn't be surprised if Elias has a run on the Suzuki GP bike.  Or perhaps Suzuki wants to move up to WSBK.  Maybe Spies is in the mix whether it's MA or elsewhere?

Dick "Bugsy" Mann raced for 21 years, retiring at 41. He was the real deal,; riding MX, trials, TTs, flat track, and road courses. He won a bronze medal in the ISDT (at the IoM) at the age of 41. I was lucky enough to see him race on three occasions...

actually I went to Ben's bar & grill in Dallas and his mom was running the place.  I didn't meet Ben but I will say she talks alot about him even if none of the patrons knew who he was.

Like I said, I hope Ben is healthy.  He was my favorite racer until he retired.  I think if had stayed healthy and hadn't had some bad luck on the factory Yamaha that he might have been a contender.  I hope if he makes a comeback that he's back on the world stage very soon and is only in MA as a tuneup.

Ben Spies pro road racing again sounds pretty iffy at this point.  But thanks for the heads up.  :thumb:
