Looking like The Astros are in , come on boys , make my late buddy Rick happy .

Oh , some team from Los Angeles is already in

I'm happy for you.  It's a blast to make it.  My Yanks, however, did not.  UGH.
Been to two series in NY.  SO much fun!

Yankees gave a good run.  I lost a bet with a couple of Astros fans and owe them the best Buffalo wings sauce I can find.  Any suggestions from my WNY soon-to-be neighbors?  We'll be moving up next month.

had the family over last night.

After having a near cardiac experience watching OUr football team, my brother and half the guys were going for the Yanks while my bro-in-law lead the group going for 'stros.

I was decidedly neutral, leaning in the "don't care" (Cards fan) category.

Luckily the MotoGP race was on right after and that was helluva show.

Heartbroken at the collapse of the Cubs. Failing that, was hoping for Yankees vs Dodgers to make my Dad happy at age 95. He grew up in Brooklyn and still hates the Yankees with every cell in his heart and brain.

He can learn to hate the Astros.

The Astros have been my faves for years. Not too many teams have won both the American and National League pennant. I'm hoping they fare better than in their last WS appearance. Go Astros!

Was hoping to see the Cubs or the Dodgers thrash the Yankees.  Was a bit disappointed when the Astros won the pennant.

Have somewhat of a preference for the Dodgers for the sake of being a NL team.

So far the game is decent though not exceptional.

Edit: Well that didn't take too long. Trolley Dodgers over the Astros.

More of an LA Kings fan than Dodger fan, but must root for the home team.

My late dad, big Dodger fan, did not like the Giants at all.

There's always Yankee haters.  We get it and we're ok with it.  Figure you're just jealous!  Ha ha

Let's hope it's the classic it has the potential to be.  Like any championship event, even if it's not your favorite thing-if you get a chance, just go.  It may be even more enjoyable if you have no dog in the fight-but either way these events are really unique and the atmosphere is most likely unlike anything else.  Been to NFL championship games, World Series, Stanly Cup, and MLS championship games.  Nothing like it.

Nic in NC, let us know when you relocate to the frozen north.  We have a great Guzzi rally every year two weeks after Memorial Day.

Buffalo Wing Sauce

1 stick of butter
1/3 cup of Frank's Hot sauce
1 Tbl Worcestershire sauce
1 Tbl crushed garlic
1 tbl kosher salt

Heat ingredients and combine, add more Franks if you want it hotter.

Yep.  That's the standard recipe but you'll get a LOT of argument here in WNY about Frank's, which most think is not real hot sauce.

Yeah, would be pretty much a foregone conclusion.

Still since I don't have much of a favorite in the Series I hope it goes as long as possible. Don't need one team to end it early.

If the Dodgers win tonight it's over.

The Red Sox came back from 0-3 to the Yankees to win the ALCS a few years back , and then win the WS, like Yogi said "It ain't over till it's over" . As the Yankees just learned , this Astros team is a tough out . They won 101 games in the better league .

Checked ticket prices a couple nights ago.  About $1150 each seat for el cheapo seats.  Wife and I will pass.

I've been to game 7 of the NBA finals last two times the Lakers beat the Celtics in game sevens.  Took my dad to the one in the 80's, took my sone to the last one.  My dad took me to a super bowl in the 1970's.  Don't think we ever went to a World Series.  Looking forward to the Los Angeles Oympics in 2028.  I went to several events in the last LA Olympics.

Wow, what a game!  Got a little boring in the middle innings but definitely picked up in the eighth inning.  I am definitely hoping to see more hard fought games like this.

I expected Verlander to hold the Dodgers back but it was 3-1 against Houston when he checked out. Astros bats made the difference.

I still expect the series to go to the Dodgers in six games.
