Yesterday, I rode from Olympia to Lake Oswego. I left before dawn, and it was cold. As our cottage is on the water, the temperature was a relatively balmy 40 degrees. However, as I rode south, away from the Puget Sound, the temperature dropped to 35 degrees! Thankfully, I wore five layers down below and six layers up top and had the heated handgrips on high! Oh, and my body has some natural insulation, too--good to have on a cold day!
I love seeing the snowflake appear on my Norge's dash. How apropos! It was definitely a Nordic ride.
By the way, my Norge LOVES cold weather. She was purring like a kitten and smooth as velvet. (Returning home late yesterday, with the temperature in the 60s and then 50s, she was not quite as smooth--not rough, but noticeably not quite as smooth.) It is always this way in cold weather. What a fabulous bike!
I am looking forward to more snowflakes, real or otherwise.

The view from my office this morning, and it will look like this and worse for the next 5 months.
