This is the antithetical complement to the "10 Best Roads" topic.
My personal favorite roads are the little ones with no traffic, not the "get-a-checkmark" roads with photographers and T-shirt vendors.
Here's one of my favorites. It's in California, but I ain't posting the name of it on the internet...

Post up pics of yours, but don't feel obliged to be too specific about where they are.

Here's another "road less traveled" to help establish the theme.
I noticed that neither road has a stripe in the middle to separate traffic. That's not necessarily a condition... but it's something that I enjoy.
I'll be more specific about this one: It's in Southern California and relatively easy access from where I live.

Here is a road I will never travel again. Thought I was going to have to walk out of there. And yes, it was on my GPS as a road.

You can see how far I came before the road got real rough. I climbed 4000 feet in elevation before hitting pavement again.
The views were awesome at the top though.

Here's another Central Texas road that's close to home:

One of my favorites, main road is behind the KLR, the benches cut into the earth in the distance is all that remains of the town my mother was born in. The coal mine closed in 52' and the town disappeared within a number of years. If you were to cross the mountain range in the distance you would be standing in Jasper National Park, Canada. Dirt trails take off from this point and will take you to the park boundary staked along a ridge line heading north south. This spot marks the highest elevation in Canada that was inhabited year round by a town, originally only accessible by train or horse. Hardly anyone ever comes here anymore, I like it like that.

And this one is memorable to me, got lost out here, eventually made it back to hartdtop, somewhere north of Las Vegas in California.

So many nice Cali wine country rides, but this one is my fave. It starts on westbound Occidental Rd., at Highway 12. Once you reach Occidental, take a very short left on Bohemian, then right on Colman Valley Rd. Follow it all the way to the PCH, and pick a direction. I prefer right, and another at River Rd., bringing you back inland. Hang a right one’d the bridge in Guerneville, and enjoy Pocket Canyon’s redwoods, and meadows.
Ride on! :bike-037:

Here's a bunch of backroads from San Diego to Arizona border. Some of these should look familiar to recent Lake Henshaw rally attendees.

Well, since we're gonna include dirt roads, this is somewhere between Mammoth Lakes and June Lake in the Eastern Sierras.

And secret single-track... kinda sorta in the same general vicinity on the same day.

You have to squint a little to see the highway in the third pic, but trust me -- it's there.

The ferry crossing the river at Dawson City YK heading for the Top of the World highway, first time I took that was 16 years ago two up on my trusty Kawasaki Concourse, great fun, road sign at the entrance leading into Whitehorse YK, and riding along the north shore of the Columbia river nice roads.
Heading back south into the USA, this should look familiar to a lot of you

Further south still, well as far south as once can go in AZ and remain in the USA

For Canuck:
First picture is heading north from Mexican Hat, past the Valley of the Gods up to the Moki Dugway.

I might have had too many clues in those pics. :undecided:
