Looking into the city from North Head (where Jude had a conference to go to so I freeloaded along.) the harbour and city do look nice

IMHO the opera house is looking a bit shabby though. Haven't sailed past it for years.....

Agreed on Opera House...
A bit like my Grandma's teeth, the tiles look white from a distance, but up close they're sort of yellow and mouldy and could do with a damn good flossing..
Big job I'm sure !

Don't complain about your opera house mates! It's designed by my landsman Joergen Utzon and - belive it or not - my grandmother was maid for the Utzon family's close friends and the family leged says she has taken care of the little Joergen :grin:

Apparently he was a bit of a martinet which is a shame. Also his original design was chopped about and butchered so the internal spaces are nothing like he imagined them. It's still a beautiful building mind.

Needs a good spray with Wet and Forget - that will have it looking like new in no time if you believe the ads on the box here.

Sidney Opera house.
A very nice piece of architecture. I was in Sydney, I guess -75, an had the same view.
