I'm thinking that any Aussies who would like to convene on a mutually agreed date in early Autumn (fall) and take a ride down to Bairnsdale then up along the river to the Victorian high country, sampling local cuisine along the way, swooping up around the Canberra area and a nice spot of camping at Lake George.
I'm not exactly sure where Lake George is, but I might find it on Google Earth..
I've been along there many times and the riding and scenery is second to none.
There may be a nice pub close by, but I can't vouch for the clientele, have to take our chances on that one but you never know who you'll meet at a bug house like that.
A right Royal reception if you will.
It's entirely possible that we could bump into a mutual acquaintance, and if plied with free beer and steak, may provide an evening of rousing tales and amusing anecdotes, but that's wishful thinking maybe...
Any overseas Guzzisti here in Oz can have a bike from me, free of charge to come along.

Give us a shout nearer the time. I can't plan anything more than my short-term memory can take - Currently about a fortnight at best.
I've only seen Lake George with water in it once, so you were probably looking for the wrong thing - water!
Here's the link to the place - don't let the blue colour deceive you:

I've got a couple or 5 bikes that can be loaned out too, for anyone who needs one.

I could probably make the long & boring trip to the Lake George meetup, and since it's such a long & boring way home from there I'll probably just end up cruising along with you guys anyway.
Can't think of any pubs in that area, but I'm sure the nearest town will have some sort of poxy establishment set up in the middle of the main street to cater for the odd local or two.
I reckon we'd find that someone just uses it as an office for their business dealings in obscure & unknown objects of transportation, paying the rent due by downing the local swill.

I wish I could join you but Heather and I booked early this year for a trip to Eden on the bikes in March and I won't be able to get more time off work. I don't think she'd be pleased if I said we're not going to Eden and going to Lake George instead when she's already paid for it. LOL.

I'll start publicising it on the forum with about 6 weeks or something lead time.
Watch this space..
I can't imagine it would be anything less than bloody good fun !

Sorry Huzo not this year. Did a similar trip last year with a group of guys from the Guzzi Vic Club. Pic is at the NSW end of the Bonang Highway. There would be a few there interested in a ride if you put it on their Forum(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20171221/bb4152b5c9a2121186751d3fcb80a382.jpg)

The Royal is a top pub. Whatever you do DON'T stay next door at the Bungendore Budget Motel.
I'm off to WA and then probably India in the last week of March.

Well then that seals it!
Second week of March it is, you'll be needing to top up on good Aussie 400 gm steaks and copious amounts of the local drop to give the inside of your guts a good lining.
You'll need that for when you're wrenching your insides out, bringing up last night's vindaloo while you're driving the porcelain bus in Calcutta...
I'll be able to afford to shout for you with what I saved by not getting ripped off in Melbourne, having my Norge re mapped and TB's done there.
Mark it in Mr Roper...
I'm gunna bloody well be there, alone or otherwise.
Might even stuff the dB killer in and have you smack it on the arse again.

Not far - Sydney Region. Dunno whether you've heard of it or not? An overpriced town with not enough pubs.
-
I like the sign that indicates snake crossing next 105 KMs.

Just don't hit the front brake when you hit one. It makes for an interesting front end response, and also makes a mess of the area of your bike behind the front wheel. Snakes aren't that bad, at least they are fairly predictable. It's the Drop Bears when riding in the Bush that make my Sphincter wobble big time. Hit once of those head-on at anything over 60 Km/h (37.282272 mph, for those living in Murica/Canadia and reading in Imperial units) and it is generally game over, especially if they land on your head.
