Cleaning the in-law's house and found this cable. No idea to what device or instrument it might belong.
Looks like a mini headphone jack.
Wire splits about 5' in each direction.
2" brackets at the ends of the wires carry a lamp (?). Not sure if those are incandescent or LED but I doubt the F-I-L owned any LED device.
Plastic baggies says "G-LINK CABLE".
Any suggestions? Otherwise I toss it. I won't risk plugging into anything unless I know why.

SIL Jim says its an IR dealy for maybe remotely programming a VCR, etc.

looks like an early SlingTV remote controller, throws your directv or cable from the box to your computer where you use it to change channels and run the box remotely.
