I’m very familiar with the vespa a lambretta lines. Interesting the ones they picked, and some of those you’d be lucky to get for 10k.

Funny , there are two Salsbury Deluxe scooters in rock throwing distance from Muskogee .
Betting a lot of us would love to own any of these scooters , and probably have .

The Vespas and the Lambretta have no place in a list of ugly.

Ah, the Simson Schwalbe from the socialistic GDR (second and third picture)! Since the German Reunification you see more and more of them in priscine condition. And they are actually ridden. In Western Germany a "Moped" was allowed to reach 40 km/h (today 45). The Schwalbe was legally allowed to reach 55 km/h as Moped, and this approval is still valid - with the according (western) licence. The more as nobody (me included) has ever ridden an intact and unmodified Schwalbe that is slower than genuine 60 km/h (GPS on an airfield in my case). So it is a good way for youngsters to be faster "than allowed" in a legal way. The same applies to other Simson 50 ccm - products but the Schwalbe simply is - well, see the title of the thread.
In the official workshop manual it is recommended to take a closer look for fatigue at certain points of the frame. At 160.000 km! Such is the quality of build and design of this thing.
