A friend here in Maine has a '67-ish Marusho Magnum Electra 500 that he needs a couple of parts for.
I believe some of you characters have "Other" motorcycles as I do and from those other marques you may also have points of contact for obscure parts for them.
Well this is a stretch however, I thought I would give this a try here.
He needs an exhaust header pipe and one (1) pushrod... kid you not.
Any contacts for Possible parts would be greatly appreciated.
The Marusho Magnum Electra is an opposed twin, similar to the early BMW /2. Just as an FYI, the owner has been told by another Marusho enthusiast that the /2 pipe will not work on the Electra.
Oh, Guzzi Content, the owner owns a sweet V50 III...
Thanks much,
Rob

Please don't let him spend much on that thing . The Mausho and Lilac were pretty poor to begin with, let alone some 50+ years later .

Let me be the bridge. I've heard of the Marusho, and I say it deserves resurrection. It's a vintage machine, worthy as any other.
I just don't know where to go from there. I can offer only emotional support.

Might be easier to just make those parts. Use the others as patterns.

Since this bike is a BMW clone and your friend has been told the BMW parts wont work they still could be used for a pattern to make if he does not have the original parts. Here are a couple of links I found

I rode one in the late 60's, they were sold here by the Suzuki dealer. Gearboxes were a bit iffy. But, I'd almost bet the pushrod may be "same/similar" to an R50 (not the /5 models after 1970) and maybe even the pipe might fit. But you have to go prior to 1970.

Thanks guys,
I have convinced Jack to have a machine shop duplicate a rod and at least try to make a /2 pipe work, even using that as a template.
Appreciate the thoughts.
