Post by: trippah on January 11, 2018, 04:17:14 PM: She is a tough lady with an angelic voice. Back in the early 70's She was playing at one venue in Boston, Simon and Garfunkle at another. My gal and I chose to see Judi Collins. She was almost 45 minutes late to go on stage and sang for 59 minutes (apparently the legal minimum requirement at the time). She was off key and not in time , missing many lyrics as well. I was a bit aggravated I admit, until I learned later that week that she had been deathly ill but didn't want to disappoint her fans. Her version of Daddy You've Been on My Mind was one of my favorites, singing the first two verses so evenly you felt an aural version of the sunset she sang about.

Agreed.

Saw her too in the '80's. Amazing that such a powerful voice comes out of such a small package.
