...he longed for the sun to keep him warm...
Brisk...fresh...dow n right chilly...but an exhilarating ride!
A few die hards out riding today..less than 5 on roads that normally have 50-60 riders...
Blue skies, fully bundled up against the wind...like a warm pocket of heavenly riding!

A nice bright clear winter's day has its own charms on a bike!
And a cup of hot tea/coffee/chocolate tastes SO good when you get home, adding to the pleasure!

It got up to 20F here in Oswego IL. I was surprised to see a guy in jeans riding an Asian sport bike down US 30 at speed. He was the only person I saw all day on two wheels.

Yep..
And when you come across someone on their "perfectly adequate/fairingless/race replica rocket" shivering and trying to straighten out their frozen lumbar region...
You can smile and say comfortably in near zero temperatures....
"Why aren't you on one of these ?" And wonder of wonders, only 2 valves per cylinder..
Who'd have thought ???
3 Days NON STOP rain and 5 deg Norwegian /Finland border region

Nice and so true!! The right gear makes riding in these conditions downright enjoyable!
I don't know why...but that picture Huzo makes me remember UB40's song....Red Red Wine...makes me feel so fine....all of the time!

I've ridden bugger all Guzzies, only a very short ride on 3 others.
Dunno how good they are, but for me these Norges just smash out the miles, with seemingly no fatigue.
Love the bastard !!

Cold weather riding makes the coffee taste so much better !!!
As the Norwegians say: there is no such thing as bad weather. Only bad clothing !

Credit where credit due. Was driving to Wichita this afternoon, temp 34 degrees and partly cloudy. About 10 or so miles north of Wichita was an old looking rider on an old looking totally naked Sporty burning down the interstate.

Yeah true.
I just have a decent pair of gloves with rubber over mittens, and the biggest problem I have, is after 3 days of rain, my gloves are still dusty... :thumb:
(Love the heated grips)
