Hi-
Thinking of getting a top case for my Breva 1100. Not sure to go with a Givi or Hepco & Becker. I'm mainly wanting something to store my XL Schuberth-mod helmet and perhaps just a tad more. I really like the looks of the Hepco & Becker 55 Junior trunk but then you have to buy a $250 rack while the Givi specific mount is only $99. I have the stock Guzzi Breva luggage rack. Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Have you looked at their Journey line? It looks like a lot of those come with a "universal" mount for non-H&B racks.

I have a Krauser K5 case on my Breva 1100. I used the factory rack and bolted a Krauser alurack to it. I already had the Krauser case which is why I didn't use the other options.

I have the Bauletto Goffrato Street Case Guzzi. It's made by Givi for Guzzi, and I have found it to be pretty darn good. It's big enough to hold a full face and a fair amount of other goods. Pops on and off with a push of a button, but stays put when locked down. Mounts right up to the stock Guzzi rack, so if I were you thats the way I would go. Fine quality at a reasonable price and looks good too.
Part number Gu05487631. In 2009 the list price from Guzzi was $279.95

Better check the boxes for helmet fit first and foremost... i have a huge H&B top box and it will not fit my Shoei size L modular... it barely fits lupe's SM modular Nolan

Which box, there are a number of HB topcases. I mean, I have a 40L Junior, 45L Junior, and a 55L Orbit (if memory serves me on all the sizes), but there was also a 50 or 55 Junior too IIRC. And there are other styles.
Anyway, the 40L and 45L are tight to fit certain helmets, the 55L is cavernous.
Oh, on the rack thing - OP - I had the black HB rack with the bar across the top/back. I liked it because it was VERY sturdy, and I liked the thought of the bar as a butt-stop for a passenger.
But I don't think you can go wrong between the OEM rack, HB Rack, or something from Givi, nor will you really go wrong with a case from HB or Givi...

I have been running a knock off box from JC Whitney for years.
Works well, still solid, not a single complaint.

Hi all,
Thanks for all the suggestions and such.
I decided to go the Givi route and got a good deal (I believe) from Revzilla on a 45L monolock for $175 to my door. I all purchased the mount from Moto International for $99. Measurements in another top case on my EV are spot on to the Givi so I know my helmet and other stuff will fit.
Be well..Brian

It’s a little pricey, but the Shad SH48X is one of the better top case ideas I’ve seen. It has a three position top that allows the case to have 46, 52, or 58 liters of storage. In the largest size, it easily swallows two full-faced helmets...in the smallest, it is a great deal less obtrusive. It comes with a rack adapter. There is a similar silver variant called the SH49X that is aimed at Beemers, but it’s even pricier.

Sweet and generally it's hard to go wrong with ZLA!
