Title: A motorcycle that has earned the term 'Patina'
Post by: canuck750 on January 24, 2018, 04:24:16 PM
1919 Indian Power Plus, an honest 99 year old well earned patina, not the overused description of some 30+ year old lump of neglected motorcycle on Craigslist assumed to be a classic

Wouldn't it be great to potter around on this!

This is where you'll learn the term "engine braking".  The coaster rear brake will surely stop the bike.....eventually .

Too bad about the crappy exhaust welded to the cylinder heads.

Wouldn't it be great to run across the country with a whole crowd of new friends "racing" your way from Portland Maine to Portland, Oregon?

2018 Transcontinental Cannonball Run...pre-1929

Perhaps not...the flex tube is welded to a pipe stub with an extension piece that appears bolted to the head..

I had a 13 Indian single it's the first year of the rear suspension they don't have dampers they want to toss you off on some roads. I sold it and my 15 flying merkel back in y2k bought my quota if I get another antique it's going to be a early guzzi
