I have to agree that there are some under-loved bikes on that list. Most of them were discontinued so quickly, they never had a chance to develop a following...

The Moto Guzzi 1000 S belongs on that list. It was the first retro bike ever, but at the same time too much ahead. The market wasn't ready yet for this type of motorcycle at the end of the Eighties. It was no sales burner and was rediscovered later. Pretty similar to the Ducati Sport Classic Series.

+1, Good call on the 1000S. Superb Guzzi, but timing was wrong. IIRC, the few that were imported were selling for way less the MSRP when new.
Another bike that I think was, and still is undercooked is the Yamaha SR500, and SRX6. Both big singles, that have never become popular in the USA, and probably never will. Terrific bikes, but an aquired taste. I am surprised that Yamaha started importing the SR400 recently.

I'm sorry I never got around to trying a TransAlp...I've heard some good things about them...

Agreed...and the HD Sportster XR12, also. Snuffed out before it could develop an audience.
