After scoring and now using a bulk pack of Personna blades I will not be using what Derby blades I have left. I have at least fifteen (15) sealed five (count) sealed packs of Derby Extras up for grabs.

Cover $6.00 shipping anywhere in the lower 48 and their are yours. Or drop by Chambersburg Pennsylvania 17202 and pick up for free.

Also looking to buy or rehome no longer older used double edge razors.

I'm still using the free razor blades that another WG poster gave me that he didn't like and that I use now!

Thus due to the generosity of others, I haven't paid for a razor blade in a long time.   I use "Harry's" when I do ....

I just use a Bic lighter to sear off the whiskers.

It was faster when I used a hand held propane torch but it was difficult to get fine control around the sideburns.

Oh, yeah, well when I SAID razor blades, I meant a pair of clam shells that I use to pull out hairs individually.

But it were a razor blade to ME!

Same here. And they’re so inexpensive I use a fresh blade every day. They are scary sharp though.

Steel cut oats, adult beverages, small firearms... why not talk about shaving gear?  Little new to talk about in the Guzzi world, other than my local dealer will get more info on the concept V85(?) bike at the Italy dealer meeting soon, such as, will it actually come to fruition.

A fresh Feather in my Mercur, some yellow can Barbasol (sensitive skin formula?), and if I've got the time for a 2-pass shave (1st time down, then a light re-lather and then shave sideways and diagonal) results in a silky smooth face.  Don't be nervous of their scary sharp edge, just shave the way you normally do and be careful.

I won't tell you about the time I filleted the edge of my nostril...

Steve.

Ah "Feathers" .... brilliant, sharp and long lasting. Very safe to use in a "lord" or any  quality travel razor. EXCEPT when you forget to screw the handle up tight and shave when slightly hung over. almost sliced my nose off and ended up with so much toilet paper on my face that my kids thought that Norman Gunston was making another comeback (Australian TV Reference ... the inspiration behind Ali-G interviewing technique)

My kit is "lord" razor, Feather Blades, Arko soap and Arko Classic face cream. Good quality brush. I have two kits, one stays in my travel bag for both business and motorcycle travel.

Cant believe how little shaving costs compared to the amount my son spends on replacement Gillete blades ("7 Blade, aloe vera vibrating ball LED light etc etc)

And to complete the package

Here is Norman at his finest ... Sally Struthers from All in The Family didn't know what hit her.
Watch to the end for an absolute classic "shaving line"

Whats really amazing is places like Dollar Save Club and Harry's Razors are making tons of money selling you a "cost effective" alternative to things like expensive muti blade super razors. When really all along your local drug store had and still has a really inexpensive alternative that gives a superior shave.

I agree

the savings are even greater if you use Fleabay and buy your "Feathers" in 100 razor lots (comes in a great cardboard dispenser) and your Arko in 12 wrapped soap tubes. The Arko Classic crème takes longer to track down in the tubs but is easily bought in the 20ml tubes.

I never took to DE. I use a single edge GEM.

I returned to DE shaving about four years ago. I’m working through all the different blades in the Leeds specialist shaving shop, and am on Feather at the moment. But the best blades I’ve used since I got back to DE is the remains of a pack of 1980s Wilkinson Sword, Left over when I changed to a multiblade razor. That suggests to me yet another area in which manufacturing standards have dropped.

Since I started my latest full-time gig (Dec. 11th), I sadly now have to shave daily, and have been using this system, Harry's...Pretty good product and excellent customer service, from my experience. :thumb:

"Real men" use straight razors! They get the best shaves.

These are made by a friend of mine: http://bluesmanblades.com/

Nice! I don't like the maintenance involved. But some people are into honing and stropping. Tried one once. It was great for the face. A royal PITA on the head, especially in back! So went back to SE.

I’ve got the straight razor issued to my dad when he went into the navy in WWll. I’ve not used it yet. It needs professionally fettling, and there’s no-one local to do it.
I believe he only used it once, and such was the carnage he went back to his civilian safety razor.

I have had a "straight razor shave" a few times in my life...but only be a professionally trained barber.  Close and so smooth afterwards...one does not have to shave for 2 days!!

However, one slip of the wrist...and  Oooooops!
