Halftime show blew chunks

Used the time wisely and made a Starbucks run. I knew I wouldn't miss a thing!

You don't mean to tell me that sapient beings are actually WATCHING that mindless transmission ... ?
Oh well, I'm going back to my Fawlty Towers binge-a-thon ....

the duet with Prince was pretty good.

Hmmm. I didn't see any of that on the Motorola. But if he sucked, his record stands.

Half of what time?

Owl Stretching Time
Now for something completely different.

Great game, Great commercials (Tide won) the only downer was the halftime show.. Prince still holds the record in 1/2time entertainment.
I don't think the Vikings could have beat Brady..

Not sure the Iggles with Wentz playing would have won , just like Manning the younger has the Patriots number , apparently Foles isn't intimidated by them either .

Opinions are like...well you know, but The Who was the best half time musical act, sorry.

Great game.
Did anyone notice Keanu Reeves riding a custom Arch Motorcycle, standing on its seat going about 50 mph down a desert road? This was in an ad for some web service, done jointly with Arch, in which Reeves seems to have an ownership position. From what I read this was actual footage, not CGI. Pretty impressive.
I know some of you are about to flaunt your ignorance of Keanu Reeves, as is customary here. May I suggest googling instead?

^^^ I did see that Moto , do you think it was real or a bit of CGI ?

I just read the Prince fans are irate. Prince said he never wanted to digital duets when he was alive, according to Sheila E.

At first I thought CGI, but several websites say real. I don't know. I can imagine it being real. It was a chopper design with a low seat. He seems to be a motorcycle fanatic. Just because it could have been faked doesn't mean it was.
I've always wanted to try standing on the saddle but figure the time for that has passed. I wonder if any others here have done it?

Steven Tyler and Emmo selling Kias?

I heard Indian Larry quit doing it when he turned 55..............

It's been awhile but on my HD Recon. Very stable in a straight line. Sucked in tight turns.

the duet with Prince was pretty good.
Yup!

I couldn't bear to watch the halftime show; cleaned up after dinner instead; enjoyed that more.

I generally roll my eyes at Pop stars, Timberlake and his generation especially. Not much of a country music fan, or should I say what they call country music today. Couple years back, my adult daughter was home and watching an award show, CMA's (country music awards). Timberlake performed with a rising country star, Chris Stapleton. Given that it meant sharing something with her, I watched. I'm a lead singer in a soul band. Watching that performance left me stupefied (and a bit jealous). It was epic, as an energized, tight presentation, it was truly peerless. Gave me a new found respect for him as a performer. He is truly talented and leaves nothing in the tank. No autotune or lip synching. And it seems he's pretty humble and has tremendous respect for the music and artists of previous generations. He just may come up with some things worth seeing/hearing in the future. To say I could never imagine myself saying this is an understatement.
That said, I didn't hear the halftime show, although I did half see it in the crowded tavern I watched the game in. I have no intention of looking it up. Those mashups of hits never do anything for me, regardless of the performer or genre.

RIP Indian Larry.
probably a stunt man doing the stand up part.

I decided he was ok when he started appearing on SNL with some frequency and was so willing to make fun of himself.
-
Yup, first thing I thought of was Indian Larry, at least Keanu was wearing a helmet. I really thought, is that really necessary to show something as stupid as standing on your seat? Maybe its just because I have friends that were directly affected by Indian Larys passing. Also Theres no way an insurance company for the commercial production Is going to let Keanu do a stunt like that without a harness of some sort

All is revealed, here:

There were at least two rigs, apparently. In one the motorcycle was towed by the camera truck while he was attached to an overhead boom with slack cables in case he fell.
But it was him doing the stunt, it is said.

I don't watch sports on TV....I find it kind of funny that grown men care enough about a half time show to talk about it on a motorcycle forum...

I'm not a huge football fan. I usually watch the Superbowl but fall asleep before the game is over. I think Prince was the best halftime show I've seen. Bruno Mars was also great. I had no idea who he was and had to ask my teenaged daughter.
The Kia Stinger ad wasn't great but the car definitely is. It's a shame they focused more on Steven Tyler than the car. 365hp, rear wheel drive, 4.4 seconds 0-60 and it's great looking.

Well, recipes and dead bluesmen are important , Justin Timberlake is not.... Instead of the Superbowl ,my wife and I watched Pulp Fiction...

I'm not a Timberlake fan, but I'd stop short of criticizing him just because he might not be from my era (no disrespect is implied). But the guy has talent including some pretty good original songs. If you don't like him, that's fine. No need to post it on a Guzzi site, geez...
-
I don't care for his music, but he can be funny as all hell.

I was skeptical before hand but after watching his performance......no he doesn't. My opinion. He's matured & put on an intense energy filled show. Danced while singing different times moving around the stadium & going into the stands among the fans was refreshing & uplifting. You could see him pulling hard at times getting enough air to do it all. Good job Justin!!!!
