Rats! That is the day I leave for Camp Carlos. I will make April so keep the meet and greet going.

360 miles round-trip, count me in !
A little weather isn't a deal breaker either.
-
Bumpity Bump. Anybody planning on riding to Lynchburg that day for lunch? Rain in forecast but I will keep an eye on the weather to see how good or bad it is supposed to be. Might have to start scheduling these things at the last minute when we know the weather rather than relying on hoping the second saturday of the month is nice out???? Hmmmm??? :undecided:
-
Would you all rather have these traveling lunch meet and greets scheduled;
1. On the same revolving day each month (2nd Saturday etc)
2. Scheduled just a few days ahead of time when weather is better known.
If lunch meet and greet is scheduled and then the weather turns bad (rain etc) would you rather;
1. Ride in anyways no matter the weather or
2. Have me cancel the ride until the following date.
Thank you for your opinions...... :bike-037:
-
Never cancel over weather (unless 90 percent chance,Lol) nor by lack of promised attendees.
Weather is so unpredictable and "last minute plans" are my specialty...
Also, a few riders who may have juggled schedules to attend (and then have it called off) may not commit the next time around.
Thanks for your continued struggle to get things rolling in this area Bob !!

Damn. I got all excited seeing this topic until I realized it wasn't actually in SE Va. Really, you Americans need to work on your geography more! :boozing:
-
Bob thanks so much for keeping this going. I recently had shoulder surgery so I have been banned from even thinking about riding for several more months. When I told the physical therapist that I drove to the session she sighed and rolled her eyes!
I am hoping to make the April lunch even if I have to drive.
Also, there are several Guzzi guys in the Tenn. North Georgia area that follow the V11 LeMans Forum, you might post over there also. Good luck and looking forward to seeing you guys.
Jerry.

I normally do not work on Saturdays but tomorrow I need to so I can finish installing a radiant gas heating system I promised to do before the Boat dealer stuffs his new building with new boats on Sunday after the knoxville downtown boat show.

Hey Bob, found my login info! Really enjoyed meeting some like minded Guzzi riders and agree the food and company were great. Thanks for pulling this together. Let me blow the cobwebs out of the Lemans for the first time this year, it did not want to go home. Wet curvy roads on way over were dry going home so return trip was too quick.
