Just to clarify a couple of things , Luap has asked us to limit the clickbait stuff . If it requires clicking onto a remote site , please cut and paste the contents . Too many unsupported sites have viruses . Please respect this .
AND ... a quick reminder , let's remain civil , riding season in the Northern hemisphere isn't all that far off , surely we can keep our heads until Spring .

Kinda hard to cut and paste youtube isn't it Bob ? No , what we are referencing are the clickbait sites that require clicking onto before any conversation can happen . We have had some questions recently , just clearing this up .

From a recent discussion with clarity and no ambiguity. No ESP. "The readers need to be able to read what you're talking about WITHOUT CLICKING ON A LINK."
Tom,
A "Clickbait Thread" is a thread which requires the reader to click on a link to read about the subject.
Any thread that you post from here on out which requires the reader to click the link to know what you're talking about will be deleted. As was mentioned previously, we've been lenient.
Many forums ban users who frequently post threads which contain only links. These are considered clickbait/spam/phishing by everyone. You should know that.
To avoid your threads being deleted, you need to copy and paste the text of the article, and include the link at the bottom of your post.
The readers need to be able to read what you're talking about WITHOUT CLICKING ON A LINK.
I hope that is crystal clear.
Thanks,
Mike

Seems reasonable.

and, when you post a new thread please use the title to be descriptive so we know what the subject is about.
What's that for?
what's what for?
New Muffler?
are you buying one, selling or just want to know how it sounds?
My neighbor is one of those...
those what?

So with further info. My posts will change. :thumb:

Safe to assume that files on YouTube have been screened for viruses?

No.

You can in fact post the link from Youtube...just right click and grab the URL...easy peasy.

Nothing is 100% , but my understanding is that we haven't had a problem with youtube .
Look , this isn't hard , if it is a long historical piece like Kirby's posting about the tail gunner surviving a 15,000 ft fall sans parachute , likely it isn't a problem . What Luap is referring to , and he posted about this , we didn't make this up , are the commercial clickbait sites that are questionable in nature. Just exercise some judgement please .

most clickbaits are full of popups and possible viruses anyway. Mods are doing us all a favor. Relax, enjoy, be thankful we have such a site
