Gents,
Since I've posted weights for various Guzzis, I might as well continue for the few more I have. I collect reviews of favorite brands, usually the great Brooklands Performance Portfolios; these numbers are actual measurements from American reviews:
850 Le Mans: 513 Lbs. (233 Kg.)
Le Mans CX100 (U.S. Le Mans II version): 530 Lbs. (240.9 Kg.)
850 Le Mans III: 531 Lbs. (241.3 Kg.)
1000 Le Mans (IV): 540.5 Lbs. (245.7 Kg.)
V11 Le Mans: 557 Lbs. (253 Kg.)

FWIW, I weighed the Mighty Scura dry on aircraft scales. 505 lbs.
V11 Le Mans: 557 Lbs. (253 Kg.)
I have a hard time imagining putting 52 lbs. of fuel in it. <shrug>
I take all published weights with a grain of salt.

The weight given was for a Le Mans.

Yeah..V11 LeMans.

5 gal. fuel in a plastic can feels like 50# when I lift it. So guess all these LeMans weight limits are with full fluids.
maybe 30lb?
-
Yeah..V11 LeMans.
more tupperware than a Scura....add 30lb of gas to that.
-
Add motor, tranny, rearend oils, brake fluids, battery.
I assume he weighed when it was only low on gas.
-
Yeah, that was all fluids, battery, empty tank.
-
I thought 'dry weight' was bike w/o fuel but every thing else. And not whether the bike is shipped by air.
really?
It was Chuck weighing his own bike.

Do people still ride those old LeMans?

Weighed my LM3 in 85 while it was still stock & full of gas it was 510lbs on the grain elevator scale in town.

My experience is a bike shipped by air needs to have no fluids in it. I shipped a MC motor by air and it had to be oil free.

Yep, a US gallon of gasoline weight is 6.073 lbs. Depending on additives that may change a small amount.

Mine gets exercised once in a while. Was blasting down I4 a month ago doing about 80mph thinking this is pretty amazing, 41 year old bike just cruising along effortlessly....exc ept for that damned stiff throttle (77 850 Lemans).

Aren't you gettin' all fancy and stuff!
Next you'll be makin' me wash my bike before I can ride with you. Lowryter said something about my dirty bike when we were out and about last weekend. I may be starting to get a complex.

Darren has a big assortment of motorcycles. One for every day of the week, perhaps every day of the month? Anyway, each of these bikes have to be dressed for each particular occasion. For example, his Yamaha 900 and 1300 Touring bikes stay highway clean, while his Truxton is museum clean, but his Beemer GS has to have the proper amount of mud and bugs on it to be fashionable.
I draw the line when we have to dig up mud to cake the GS though. No one would actually ride that 600lb behemoth in the mud. :boxing:

Yes, Darren is the episode of style, I think actually has his dirt imported from Dakar 👌
I finished my assembly work about madnight last night, I did get in one neighboorhood shake down cruise before the monsoon hit

Boy, you guys are full of it! My dirt is authentic central Oklahoma red clay. Once stuck on , never comes off (pressure washers be damned). I did ride in the rain Monday, but the clay held fast! :bike-037:

Thank you for this info. I've been telling folks that my 3 weighs in at @550 full of gas for years. Now I can tell them it weighs just a bit more than 500 and have confidence in that number.
