Title: Alibaba
Post by: gearman on March 02, 2018, 11:53:29 AM
Has any one here bought from Alibaba? I was looking at their reverse trikes and wonder how much trouble it would be to buy from them. In the eighties I used to import machine tools from Taiwan and got everything delivered FOB  New Orleans. I had to get my truck and pick the stuff up at a bonded  wharehouse. I also used an import broker  for the paperwork and had an import license. I wonder if it is easier now?

I've only bought small parts, washers, bolts, etc. Zero problems. I use AliExpress.

I have bought small parts from them, would be wary of a vehicle due to DOT/EPA issues as well as problems getting registered at the state level.  Even bikes that have been through the DOT/EPA approval process sometimes have problems with state registration.  Fellow RX3 owners have gone through lots of pain in a couple NE states to get their bikes registered since they did not go through a state licensed dealer.
