Rare bike....So, I assume that is $29,995 NZD (New Zealand dollars), yes?
If so, then that's about $21,000 USD, yes? Of course, then there is shipping / insurance to the USA from near Aukland, etc.

The asking price is equivalent to USD $21665 with mileage is equivalent to 22,351 miles. The southern hemisphere market for Italian bikes has always been healthy. This is a pushrod/carb bike with 1100 Sport engine but for what it might be worth, Bill Ross sold a Daytona engined bike a while back which might provide a US market calibration.
The tank full of avgas comment is hype. The last thing a 1996 Guzzi needs is avgas. Nitrogen in the tires is equally ridiculous, maybe both are meant to be humorous.

Yup, that's Glen's! Nice bike...and he has ridden that bike before , both to our Cottonwood, N.A.R. and to Datil, New Mexico for the NM State Guzzi Rally!! :1: :thumb: :cool: ...and here we are in Springerville, AZ in 2014 fixing a loose battery terminal. :shocked: :rolleyes: :rolleyes:

Nice bike looks like a clean example, wish it had been for sale when I was looking for one
What is interesting to me is it has the all white canted clocks as installed on Australias, yet my bike is a 99 and has the 'Orrid blue speedo and flat clocks Grrrr
I also love the one piece tail unit and saddle I'd kill to get a hold of that.
I have got race foam on the seat & it's like sitting on a plank
All that said no doubt it's all as it should be. No 2 of these were ever the same and pretty dammed rare much more scarce than the 1000s

That's a different bike, Hi Cam engine as opposed to a Sporti, to be fair though as far as the Magni parts are concerned it's almost the same

Bill Ross sold an Australia if I have it correct............ ..........a much rarer bike and a LOT more sought after, Australias go for funny money (do not ask me how I know this)

Battery is under the seat!! Poor Glen had no tools with him at all during that trip. NOTE: Moby Dick (my white 2014 Victory Vision) in the background to the rescue and those are all my carry tools on the ground! :shocked: :shocked: :shocked: :shocked:

Buggered if I can see it JJ, the reason I'm asking is, mine has pods and the gap left by the airbox was used to house a LiFe, which is more or less the exact width of the space left in the tank to house the airbox, yet on that bike I don't see anything.
In my photo you can see the black cable with the yellow sleeve on it snaking down from the pod to the where it earths on the gearbox.
With all the gubbins already under the seat and tailpiece there is not an awful lot of space left to mount a battery. Fair play if it is, it must be shoehorned in and be a really neat job

When I got the bike the paint wasn't bad but not great. It was a lot better than the powder coat on the frame and the state of the engine casings though.
I gave it to a really skilled painter, he does a lot of Hardlee airbrush stuff (skulls, demons, ghost riders you know the sort of thing), anyway he matched the existing color as close as he could and all the logos are airbrushed on and sealed with clearcoat.
TBH I didn't notice any difference between the original color and the respray, perhaps the flash gun on the camera is making it appear a slightly different shade.
So what else about the bike in question, different exhaust mounts to others I have seen (I like them).
Its got the orrid heavy original crossover
Are the cans slightly ovoid? Not sure.
The tail piece really has me intrigued, I'll need to send a mail to Giovanni to ask him about that (probably get ignored).
I think the bike is very nice and the price is reasonable. These are thin on the ground and when you think about what LMs are fetching, just my opinion, however I am VERY biased when it comes to Magnis

The battery was sideways behind this black cover, and just in front of the bottom lip of the gas tank! :thumb: :1:

I still have the original airbox which was supplied with the bike (wish I had installed it, perhaps next year).
Looking at it I see there is a gap in the center and the tank gap is taller than the airbox.
So now I see how it's installed, it surely can't be very big unit and would have to be probably on the slim side.
Very impressive piece of shoehorning to do that, nice :thumb:

Yes, as I recall, Glen installed the compact version of one of these (see below), small, Hi-Performance Lithium, Dry-Cell batteries in there! :thumb: :1: :cool: On that day, the terminal came loose and bike died...but we figured what happened, and tighten it back up at the local gas station!! - - - and off we went to Datil, New Mexico!
