Title: 2009 Stelvio questions
Post by: inditx on March 17, 2018, 02:04:21 PM
So has anyone placed a lower pipe on the Stelvio?

Would one from a Norge work if you were able to hang it properly?

Do the Norge panniers fit if this was done?

Thanks in advance

Only answer I know is the last one-- Aprilia bags fit right on, triangle shaped ones for Breva 1100. They fit in slots right under the rear handles.

There are plenty of aftermarket pipe options but I don't know about lower per-se? Why the change.

As for bags, as Steve says the early triangular/trapezoid bags will fit but I think require some sort of brace across the rear of the mudguard to support them. Norge type bags may or may not work either.

There are also aftermarket bags by both HB and of course Trax who make the factory OE 'Polar bear smuggling' boxes which while a bit ugly and pretentious are at least secure and cavernous!

This machine has been rollerised I take it? That has to be the first mod undertaken.

Thanks gents.
Yes she’s rollerized Pete.
Good to know on the bags.
On the lower pipe, I was trying to get more spacious bags without hanging panniers out like wings, makes the bike too wide imho. I had a 2013 NTX and those were always in the way.
I’ll take a look at these options.
