Title: Touching up Powder Coating?

I have several deep scratches to the metal on my powder coated frame, besides getting it re-powder coated, any suggestions for paint? Thanks!

  Big scratches? Little scratches?  Deep scratches need to be built up, if you can mask off the scratch then you can use Testors enamel to build up the area.
 A coat every day or so until it's built back up. pull the masking , wet sand with 1500 or 2000 grit and polish with compound. If it's not Black it takes a little creativity to match the color. Testors makes a a pretty decent array of colors.

Thanks, I was thinking of using rustoleum oil enamel.  It makes sense to build it up and then sand/polish.   The scratches are deep, long and thin.  Thanks,

Rustoleum Satin Black looks close enough to powdercoat to me that I just primed all my stuff first then shot it with the Satin Black...easy and inexpensive to touch-up...YMMV

Depending on where it is on the frame and what shade/luster of black, I'd lean toward POR15 frame black.  It's tough, will fill the gouges (and of course shrink in a little) doesn't need a primer, and paints over powder.  I've used POR15 for frame touchups a lot, but I'm more into protecting the metal than an exact color match.

Rather than paint, you may consider two-part epoxy putty. It will fill the flaws in one application and will cure even sturdier than the powder coating.

This is why I paint my frames single stage. Upon finishing the reassemble, I take a brush around, fill in the scrapes, and let it sit a couple weeks, then can sand and buff to original. It's much easier, and probably more original on the older bikes.IMHO
