Going to pick my new to me Calvin next week. So, I've been doing some research and one old thread had a question that came to my mind as well when I was checking out the bike. The site suggested I start a new thread since it was so old, so here goes.

Here is the quote from the old thread which sums it up as well as I could.
"Included with the bike, was a Moto Guzzi branded leather top box that I've never seen before. Shaped like a small vinyl carry on luggage bag, and has a carry handle on the end so you can take it with you. But.....but bizarrely it seems permanently mounted with allen screws to the chrome rear rack,so you can't take it anywhere? Am I missing something here?"
Was there or did anyone ever some up with a quick release option for this, I love the look and function, but would be nice to be able to just snap off when you get to you destination.

Thanks in advance!

Love my guzzi top case. Once it’s on you hill use it enough to never want to take it off. I love my Calvin.
Get up with Beetle, on this forum for a great ECU MAP that we just finished working out on mine. It will make her run much better and cooler. Hope you enjoy it, it’s a fine bike.

Awesome, if I have the map can my Guzzi dealer plug it into the ECU? How do I get it and how much? Is your bike all stock?
I love the top case, but would be nice to be able to pop it off when needed.
Thanks!

Replied on your raffle bike win post when I realized who you were :thumb: Thanks she is a beauty, anything I should know. Enzo is putting on new tires and going through it, and I will get it next week.
The top case thing still baffles me though, why they didn't make it a quick disconnect, but love it anyway.

Hah 'ya got me!
Beautiful bike, glad he’s putting new skins on it as not sure it needed anything else. A peach of a bike, just not for me now.
You might want to put a lip on the windshield as otherwise you get a lot of buffeting.
ENJOY!

Enzo and the boys are like family, I was so stoked when I saw it worked out a deal on the spot. They are doing a full service and tires so in that case, we should be good to go with it! Mamma already named it and has her eye on it LOL
Thanks for the feedback!

Great bikes and even a greater woman, you got it made friend!

Let me know next time you headed Enzo's way be great to meet you. I live in Louisville, but in work and stay in Blue Ash through the week. I stay in a hotel right next to Cadre's. So you'll find me hanging around the shop most afternoons when I am in town, and I work right down the road. I'll buy ya lunch if I am around! Look forward to crossing paths!

I just picked up on your question about the guzzi top trunk. It came with a cooler water proof removable liner with a handle and also a rain cover. I do not remove mine as it’s just too handy to carry things one may pick up at the store and such.
-
Yes I don't think mine had the liner any longer, make more sense though. Thanks!
