xxx rare! 1974 Moto Guzzi Eldorado California police! This is the most highly sought after Moto Guzzi of all time!! This police bike was in service with the lapd. The bike is near complete, only things left to do is have the original seat recovered, a set of Guzzi grips, and it’s missing the tail light, other than that it is complete and all original!! Super rare, vintage California police!

BIN $15k, and starting bid "Only" $10k for this turd.

His price might be optimistic, but it IS a '74 Eldorado with the disk brake and police speedometer.  It's desirable at some price point just for that.

Ad says all it needs is the seat recovered . Well , and a complete tear down for paint , a complete engine rebuild , a new wiring harness ...worth $18K after you spend $20K

Junk goes for a high price in California.  Maybe it was the one used it Clint Eastwoods' movie " Magnum Farce".

Don't think it was crack smoking in this case, think it was the bad brown acid as you would have to be hallucinating bad (apparently seeing a beautiful original) to come up with that ad.

Maybe one of the panniers has $9,000 worth of gold coins in it.

Krugerrands or Maple Leafs are $1320 apiece today.   You could tuck 7 of them up under the seat cover or by the battery, you don't need a pannier for that!!

It'd be safer to lock them in one of the toolboxes.

What is it about "don't eat the brown acid" that he doesn't understand??

Scoff if you will, but there are very few complete LAPD Guzzis. Compared to many other old desirable bikes that one is cheap and in one piece to boot! While 10K is a stretch most people will come down on a price but no one ever offers more. Best to start high. Maybe not too high.....

The sad reality is that "$10K TURD" will require a total nut & bolt restoration (IMHO) to be presentable...

I'm guessing this guy bought the bike at an auction or from a storage facility and knows only what he learned searching the net.
At least there's oil in it...and beneath it...if that's oil.

it'd be a great project for 2k

Someone should try to appeal to the sailor in him

Yeah , or what "Uncle Bob" told him about motorbikes . Seller claims this is the most desirable Moto Guzzi ever , guess he is unaware of the Telaio Rosso , the Bicylindrica , or the MGS 01 , probably because Uncle Bob doesn't know about those models either
