Anybody got an old Guzzi valve cover they'd like to sell? Just rebuilt my mailbox after storm damage, and decorated it with a V50 Valve Cover. But...I really need a Big-Block.

Scrapes are OK...

Going to Hamlin's tomorrow to pick up my new Helmet. Maybe I'll find one there out of the Westmoreland, PA load of goodies that Jim bought?

Steve,
Temptation awaits @ Hamlin's. The place is packed w/ Aprilia's (Shiver 750 & 900). Get P'joe to wrap one of those in Guzzi clothes and Zooom. There's the most beautiful Norge of all. Lots of sparkles and bitter, dark chocolate paint, plus 3 white ones. Ask to be directed (if it's still there), to the V7 Red fuel tank, with an in-house front brake development. Sign me up!
Stay dry and mind the temperature.  Good fortune, R3~

Hey,  that red V7 is my bike and she is now home.  Had her out and about yesterday and I can tell you that new front brake master cylinder and caliper set up is SAAAAAAAAAAWEEEEEEE EEET!

That "Chocolate" Norge sure is a beauty.

Too bad the weather is gonna suck today.

Only at a third-Sunday breakfast...Guzzi valve cover and Italian-made camera tripods exchanged. As the old Moto Guzzi ad claims..."A World of Friends." Indeed...

Thanks again,

SR

Not one to go fishing, after Breakfast I hung a Moto Guzzi valve cover on my mailbox, instead.

Then, after finalizing 2017 Taxes with H&R Block, I dug into the "relay-clicks-but-the-bike-won't-turnover/start" problem on my 1200 Sport. Much to my surprise, I learned that the elves in Mandello del Lario managed to engineer the legendary "too much resistance in the starter wiring circuit" into the new bikes as well. How's that for tradition?!

So the fix I did on my 1981 V50 and 1987 SP II was repeated on the 2008 1200 Sport (12V...fused...direc tly from the battery to the relay). Only slightly re-engineered for the new four-pole relay, vs. the old five pin.

They say that "they don't make 'em like they used to," but I'm not so sure...

GerryP, others?
SSSWWEEE, indeed. I hope you won't be upset if I can talk Jim into adding same to my bike.
The lights are also very cool.  Even in the daylight there will be greater conspiquitie.
I'm no longer allowed out after dark.  Good fortune,  R3~

Not upset at all, Ol' Red is the test bed for that set up.  I had her out for a nice day of riding on Saturday and I'm very pleased with the set up.  I didn't press too hard as the back roads around here still have a lot of debris from all the tree damage due to all the nor'easters we've had.

Yes, the lights do work well.

good fortune to you too.

Still living south in Florida where every day is riding weather. Waiting for the "S Word" to dissappear from New England forecasts before I travel north.
