Nolan Woodbury saw this on eBay recently. Only 146 miles! WOW!!

Back in 2009, at the Barber Vintage Weekend, Nolan and I saw one. The owner and his daughter, were from Australia, as I recall. Outside a museum, it is the only Hesketh I ever saw on the road. :1: :thumb:

Very true!

People do ride 'em ... there's an owner's club, spares scheme, and all that. You'd have to be or become an expert on them to ride on much, or have one nearby.
For the man for whom a Motus is just considered a weak copy of this one ... !

I thought they were super cool ever since I was a teen back in the 80s! Always wanted one, and still do, though I have yet to see one in the Flesh. But a bike called the Vampire, how can you get anything cooler?
You can still order yourself a new Hesketh, several versions available including supercharging!!!

If you get one, please invite me over for a spin!

Malcolm Forbes had one, and I got to see it at a BMW event hosted by his brother at their Short Hills estate. Interesting machine, and kind of rounded out his eclectic collection of motorcycles.
I believe that Forbes MC caretaker now has possession of his Hesketh. Last time that I saw it, it was indoors next to a potbelly stove.

I understand that they had a fairly agricultural sort of gearbox.
Still an interesting machine.
