Title: Upholsterer for Cali II seat?
Post by: inditx on April 19, 2018, 09:43:06 AM
Any leads from you good folks?
Just want it back to stock.
Around KC Area would be great but would ship if price didn't knock me out.

Thanks in advance.

Have you contacted your local dealer?

Hey two checks, my “local” dealer has no parts for older Guzzi’s but maybe can order....
Anyway, looking for someone who can take the original, which is in poor shape but there is enough there to draw a template. The original replacement foam seems to be the problem.
I looked at Harpers too and did a search but no luck.

Thanks

You can find a replacement cover online, on eBay. I bought one a couple years ago. It was well-made, black and white like the original, had the Moto Guzzi logo on the back, and was a good value. It came from the UK. I think it was one of these guys:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/MOTO-GUZZI-CALIFORNIA-MARK-2-MKII-STEPPED-MOTORCYCLE-SEAT-COVER-with-WHITE-LOGO/112878867136?epid=2265535860&hash=item1a481ad2c0:g:Y3sAAOSwL9pahyjR&vxp=mtr

If that works for you, then what you might need most is a seat builder that can replicate and replace what's needed on your foam and base.

Please let us know what you do and how it comes out.  I'm in the same boat.  BUT, I'm hoping for more foam and a longer ride.  After a few hours is really tough for me on the original seat.
Cheers,
Mike
