Working on the tank and the two spring clips broke. It's a crimped assembly and I'm not going to try to fix it. Does anyone out there have a line on a replacement filler cap for a V50 tank? (I'm assuming the same cap may fit many models)
Thanks!!

I got this Italian flip-up gas cap from MotoGuzzino. Works very well. I had to remove the tabs on which the lamentable OEM plastic lid pivoted. Big improvement, IMO - looks and operates much better.

But, that's on a V50 II, I think boatdetective has a V50 III which has the metal flip-up lid (with bolt holes and an indentation on the top of the tank).

Good eye, Charlie, you are right as usual - I hadn't noticed that his V50 is a III. The trap door lid on that tank is similar to the one on my SP, which uses the same low-profile gas cap as shown in the photo. V50III and SP are both listed as using that cap. I think the one I am using on my V50II would be too tall to fit under the lid.

Bingo! Thank you sir. I went to MGcycle first off- but didn't find it. You must have connections!
