Went home a little early yesterday and took my beloved California Titanium out for her first run of the season.
This was basically a shakedown ride because I had taken so much apart over the winter. Here's the rundown:
New fuel lines and delete of the charcoal can eliminated all traces of petrol leaks.
New, correct size battery makes for much faster starts and the entire electrical system seems to appreciate it.
New rubber bushings in the handlebars and a bar-snake have basically eliminated bar vibrations.
Fixed the wrinkle/misassembly of the velocity stack coming out of the airbox to the RH cylinder.
Tightened everything up.
Replaced the leaking stock shocks with air shocks.
Oh my does she ride nice now, and I had to adjust the idle screw down because she's no longer sucking air from the cracked hoses on the charcoal can. Now that I have a good baseline of how she's acting, I'll have to try loading the new fuel maps.
That was, quite simple, one of the better hours of my life yesterday afternoon. :grin:
