Okay, just for my friends here.
Offered here is a 1983 Moto Guzzi LeMans III in white. This is the most excellent example of this model that I have seen. The odometer shows about 3300 miles. Although, I am not certain of the accuracy of that reading, the condition of the bike appears to be that of a very low-mileage machine. It had been in storage until shortly before I bought it last year.
I have recently changed all fluids- brake fluid, engine oil, transmission oil, final drive oil and replaced all rubber parts as well as all operating cables. The foot peg covers and bar grips had deteriorated with age. New Pirelli Sport Demons are installed as well as new brake pads that replaced the original pads. The valve lash has been set on all valves and the head torques checked. The carbs have been cleaned and tuned with mercury stix. Everything looks great and it runs like a dream.
All numbers are matching and it does not appear to have ever suffered any notable wreck damage. It has the stock air box intact as well as the totally stock exhaust system.
If you are anywhere near the Alabama Gulf Coast, you are welcome to come by and have a look for yourself.
I’ve owned several Guzzi bikes, including a Daytona RS and a V11 Scura, and this LeMans runs smoother and better than all of them. It’s a strong runner and I am constantly amazed that 1. It is only an 850 and 2. It is 35 years old!
It’s a beautiful bike in the rare white color. I won’t go into the specs for the bike, if you are reading this, you know what this is. You will not be disappointed in this specimen!
$9500 including the Wild Guzzi Discount

Very nice bike, best of luck with the sale.

I had a new white Le Mans in 1983. If I didn't have 5 bikes already I'd buy it tomorrow. :thumb:
-
very very nice....
good luck with the sale,

That's a very nice bike! I haven't seen one that close to perfect for years. I think the price is right given what the Le Mans I is now bringing. By the way that Moto Borgotaro Le Mans sold for all the money.

Simply a spectacular example. Possibly the cleanest Le Mans III available today.
If the price sounds high, I bet it won't in 5-10 years.
-
Please someone here rescue this wonderful bike before someone gets it and 'customizes' it.... :violent1:
-
It’s a shame this bike has sat so much. They are wonderful to ride.

Chuck,
Looking at the line-up of bikes you have listed. I see a big gaping hole that a big block Tonti (which this is a perfect example) would fill.
Others here on the forum have a much more severe case of motorcycli-aquireitis than you do with more than double or triple the symptoms.
You can always use one more. Open....wallet..... send.....money..... .quickly.....before ......someone.....e lse.....snags.....i t...

What a beautiful bike! You don't see many white LM3's let alone one in that condition. Good luck with the sale.
Also, it's good to see the prices coming up on these.... makes mine worth more.

So, did this finally sell?

Obviously blackcat's a man of few words (well, one, really) when it comes to personal business about motorcycle prices!
I'll bet it was close, though, that's a nice bike.

In way better shape than mine. Not sure where it came from originally but ended up in Honolulu via Maui. Took a while to clean off the red dirt patina w/cat hairs. Fun bike to ride. Still have that in the garage. :thumb:

Yes, the bike has sold. It's a fantastic example and I'm sure I will regret the sale some day.
If I had everything I regretted selling, I would need a 4-acre storage building for keeping them all.
No offense to anyone else's preferences but I've always thought the LeMans III was the best-looking of the LeMans series.
Thanks for everyone's compliments.
