Title: Just wanted to say "thank you".
Post by: Toecutter on May 15, 2018, 11:33:25 AM
Bike's back on the road this evening, just the brakes left to bleed.

Had a couple frustrating weeks of waiting on "Guzzi time" for parts, had a couple surprises along the way, and more than a few headscratchers from poor translations and Italian terminology, and a bunch of "huh, that's different" but everything's been done, from tip to tail.I've been leaving everything to warranty up until this season (or else... why buy a new vehicle at all, if you don't take advantage of warranty?), but, me being me, riding a bike I haven't torn apart myself leaves me feeling "uneasy" while riding. Motorcycles, to me, require the confidence that comes with knowing your bike... probably why I'm so attached to my old CB750.

So, here's to a new season, with the "unease" removed, and deeper relationship with this quirky tractor. This bike has gone from "new and fantastic, to "WTF have I done buying this thing?", to "this is good", to now... "this is *mine*"

And this forum is a huge help. So thank you all for wasting your time on here arguing, debating and sometimes offering assistance. :boozing:

 I've heard this more than once. You get it with a "little" bonding..
